  • q-iconWhat do I need to access the livestream?

    You can access the livestream through any device with internet access, but you’ll get a better result with a fast internet connection.

    Streaming is best with a dedicated direct line. Although the event can be streamed through 4G and LTE and wireless connections, it’s recommended that you plan to attend with a direct ethernet connection with at least 5Mb/s connection.

    We can’t guarantee the speed of your connection, since that is beyond our control. All attendees will receive a recording of the event as a part of registration, so if your connection is too slow for high quality livestream, you’ll be able to watch the recording.

    Data usage fees may apply and are your sole responsibility.

  • q-iconIs there an official hotel?

    The official lodgings will be in the University of Seattle residences. There is a brand new dorm with rooms with private bathrooms. Details will be coming soon on how to book.

  • q-iconHow does the livestream work?

    The livestream will be broadcast live on the days of the conference. You will be able to login from any device that is connected to the internet. You’ll need speakers or a headset to hear the audio. You’ll have access to the recording for 30 days after the conference. You’ll receive the same handouts and downloads as the in-person attendees.

    You must register for the livestream even if you plan to watch the recording. We are not planning to sell access to the recording after the fact.

    You’ll receive information a day or two before the event with instructions on how to access the livestream. It will start running at 8:30 PDT on Saturday, an hour before the conference starts.

  • q-iconWhat is your cancellation policy?

    Event registrations are refundable minus a $30 administration fee as long as the request is received at least 60 days prior to the date of the event. Registration fees are non-refundable within 60 days of the event (see below for special circumstances).

    The host of the event reserves the right to cancel the event for any reason at any time up until 30 days prior to the scheduled date and to provide a full refund of registration fees. If the event is canceled due to illness, natural disaster, weather delays or other reasons outside the control of the host, the registrant will have the choice of a refund or enrollment in another seminar or in the Introduction to TAGteach online course. We will do our best to compensate for travel cancellation fees though waiving of membership fees, free access to resources or services. Any remediation of this nature will be at the sole discretion of the event host. If an attendee is unable to attend due to illness or other unforeseeable circumstance, they may request a transfer to another TAGteach or RYANO event (including the Livestream of this event), enrollment in an online course or other remediation. Any remediation of this nature will be at the sole discretion of the event host and may be subject to a $30 admin fee.

  • q-iconCan I get a discount?

    There are discounts for TAGteachers ($50 off), Students (half price) and registered charities ($50 off). This does not apply on top of the early bird discount. The discount is off the public price.

    Students must provide proof of enrollment in secondary or post-secondary institution (college or university).

    Charities must provide federal, state or provincial registration number.

    Groups of 5 or more can get $50 off the public price until Apr 30.

  • q-iconCan I switch from the In Person to Livestream if I can't make it to Seattle?

    The livestream and in-person events are essentially two different events. You can cancel and then register for the other event according to the cancellation policy listed above.

    If we have a waiting list for the in-person event we will allow switching.

  • q-iconIs there a satisfaction guarantee?

    Yes, you can request a full or partial refund within 30 days of the conference if you attend the entire event and are dissatisfied. This request must be in writing, must explain the reason and the amount requested. You’ll be the first person in over 150 of our events ever to request a refund.

  • q-iconHo do I Claim My CEUs?

    The requirements to claim CEUs vary with the different organizations. We will provide you with the information or forms that you need to claim you CEUs.

    It is your responsibility to know what your organization requires and to make sure that you get your forms signed (if necessary) on the day.

    To help make sure that we have the correct forms and the correct number of forms and that we have the certification numbers we need to submit on your behalf, we will send you a form to fill out online.

  • q-iconIs lunch included in the price?

    Lunch is on your own. You’ll have 1.5 hours for lunch and there are lots of cool places to eat on campus.

    There will be pastries in the morning as well as tea, coffee and water station all day.

    Please bring your own beverage container to reduce our impact on the environment.

  • q-iconIs the venue wheelchair accessible?

    Yes, the auditorium meets ADA standards for accessibility. We’ll have some extra chairs at the back for anyone who can’t manage the stairs. Please let us know if you’d like us to reserve you a seat in the back row of the folding seats or you’d like a chair at the back.

    There is an accessible washroom one level down from the lecture hall, accessible by elevator.

  • q-iconWhat is the room set-up like?

    The event will be held in the Kane120 lecture hall. There is a lobby area for refreshments and hanging out in. Food and open beverage containers are not allowed in the auditorium.

    There are washrooms one level up and one level down from the auditorium accessible by stairs (get some exercise!) or elevator.
